Ron Baron, CEO
Ron Baron brings over 30 years of practical and national recognized expertise in sports management, marketing and law to the Sports Business Institute. He also served as an Adjunct Professor of Sports Law at the University of Houston Law Center and The Widener University School of Law. Ron was also proud to serve on the United States Olympic Committee’s Minimum General Liability Task Force.
In 1988 Ron founded The Center For Sports Law & Risk Management. He counseled numerous clients in the sports industry on sports law and team related team operational strategies. Clients included National Football League and Major League Baseball teams, key collegiate athletic programs, sports areas and insurance carriers.
In 1995 Ron founded the sports marketing firm, Sports Fantasy Tours & Events. His firm customized sports marketing programs for Fortune 500 corporations, media and trade associations. He created many corporate incentive travel programs to major sporting events including the Super Bowl, The Masters, Final Four and World Series. Ron’s client roster included Sprint, Fox Sports Southwest and Chase Bank
Ron was proud to launch the Continental Baseball League (CBL) in 2007. The CBL was an independent professional baseball league with teams located in the Southwest region of the United States. He was responsible for league operations including sponsorship and marketing. The CBL transferred over 50 players to Major League Baseball affiliated organizations.
Ron and his Sports Business Institute team looks forward to working with students nation-wide to educating them on the endless career opportunities in the burgeoning multi-billion dollar sports business industry.
Darryll Williams, CMO
Darryll Williams is a native of Dallas, Texas. He is a sales and marketing strategist who has had 30 years of experience in working with CEO’S and Executives in the automotive industry throughout the Northern and Southern Region of the United States.
Mr. Williams has accomplished over 15 top national sales awards and has received numerous other awards for his leadership. In 2008, Darryll was awarded The MVP Leading Change award, which help business’ with creating strategies and concepts to grow and improve their image in the everchanging market.
Darryll has over 20 years of basketball experience from playing, coaching and training. His love of all sports keeps him abreast of current trends nationally and globally in the sports industry.
Kenneth Robinson, CTO
Kenneth Robinson is a seasoned veteran in the Software Development and Consulting Industry. Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, Class of 1993 and has over 20 years of experience in the technology arena.
He is the founder and Managing Partner of CIS-Computer Innovation Services, Inc., a software solutions and consulting organization that has been in existence over twenty (20) years. Founded as a sole proprietorship, CIS provided technology-based consulting services to various clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Incorporated in 1998, CIS now services customers world-wide with its software and technology solutions.
Mr. Robinson has a long list of civic duties and accomplishments. In 2008, he and the company were awarded the Aggie 100 designation for the top 100 Aggie ran businesses for the past year (ranked #15). In addition and in the same year, he was awarded the Alpha Phi Alpha Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Mr. Robinson serves as the President Emeritus of the Texas A&M University Black Former Student Network. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the DFW Society Young Executives Club, and AAU Youth Basketball (Coach).
